Watch: King Creosote & Jon Hopkins – ‘Bubble’

Nice animation from newcomer Elliot Dear of Blinkink, who built miniature sets and shot all alone in a basement for 5 days. Delicate imagery from a man who looks to be straight out of Lock Stock.

Ignoring the Alison Krauss moments, here we have tender folk-pop straight from the Scottish highlands, despite King Creosote sounding more like a dub-reggae moniker.

Collaboration with the laptoppy Jon Hopkins, whose theme for Gareth Edwards’ film Monsters was downright astounding in ambient electronic elegance. His work with Brian Eno is also worth a listen.

‘Bubble’ is the lead single taken from the album Diamond Mine, out now on Domino.
