Watch Animal Collective record an album in 9 minutes
A really interesting insight into the recording process of Animal Collective’s seventh studio album, 2007’s Strawberry Jam.
“Scott Colburn had a great idea when we were recording Strawberry Jam. He set up a video camera to take short clips of footage once a minute for the whole time we were in the studio. This is the unedited result. Our tracking session for Strawberry Jam in Tucson at Wavelab Studios in 2007.”
Apparently the band have posted the 9-minute time-lapse video to mark the beginning of a 2-week countdown before they head back into the studio to start recording their next full-length LP.
