Veronica Falls – ‘My Heart Beats’
Some indie-jingly-pop-jangly from London’s Veronica Falls, although with the attached attraction of a substantially slow-swirling Wurlitzer-whirling guitar refrain, which actually possesses some really interesting harmonic movement.
They’ve dropped the tempestuous misery of their self-titled debut album, in favour of much more upbeat lyrical content to match the twinkle-dance musicality. It makes me feel sunny on this frosty February morn and it should make you feel the same!
Wave goodbye, off they go on tour today. ‘My Heart Beats’ was literally recorded last week “on a freezing boat on the river Thames” – yeah Britain, yeah.
